This afternoon at PLNU, I had such a wonderful time listening to a lecture and Q&A with Andrea Lunsford, that I just had to make a quick blog note of it.
It is likely that you are more familiar with Lunsford's writing handbooks than I am. Heaven knows how much I could use her grammar help. I will look forward to it.
What really impressed me about Lunsford, though, was her contagiously positive spirit. What an incredible attitude! None of her students will know it, she being all the way down here so far away from Stanford, but she was so kind to them, using their work as her prime examples. She was gracious to all the question-askers, always asking the person what he or she thought.
I just love people like her. Positive. Intelligent. Fun.
