Today is the twelve-year wedding anniversary of me and my lovely wife. And I got to thinking. A lot happens in twelve years!
Over these twelve years neither of us have traveled extensively, so I'm estimating we've spent over 4,000 days together. We are not like some couples you hear about who spend minutes a day talking. The two of us get in plenty of gab time or even just hanging out silently. I'm estimating we've spent over 16,000 hours in each others' presence. We've driven across the country 4 times. We've lived in 7 different homes. We've owned 8 cars. We've attended 4 churches. We've gone on 1 cruise. We've made 3 children. Over the years we've had 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 hamsters, and countless fish. I think we've had something like a couple of disagreements. We've stayed at a bed and breakfast twice, but both times when my lovely wife was pregnant. We've owned only 1 refrigerator. We've gone through 4 iPods, countless cell phones, 5 computers (mostly Mac), and more than 5 digital cameras.
That just scratches the surface. Imagine how many apples the two of us (and now our three children) have eaten. How many pencils we have used. How many loads of laundry. I cannot even imagine how many times we've touched each other. How many haircuts we've had in 12 years. How many sicknesses. How many walks, runs, and hikes. How many friends we've known. And on and on and on.
A lot happens in twelve years together. It has been a wonderful time. Looking forward to many, many more years. :-)

Awww! That's just sweet!!! :-) I wish you many more!
